Born in Nicaragua and raised in the Bay Area, I bring a unique perspective to my work that welcomes people from all walks of life. My journey has given me an acute sensitivity to the complex intersections of cultural identity and mental health, especially for communities of color and underserved populations.
My therapeutic approach is both eclectic/holistic and personalized, drawing from various modalities while remaining grounded in attachment theory. I prioritize centering your experience and crafting a therapy that works specifically for you—you are unique, and your therapy should also be unique. Additional modalities I draw from the most include somatic, narrative, Solution-focused and Dialectical Behavioral therapies. I am trauma-informed and my practice is insight-oriented and strengths-based.
I'm trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), allowing me to offer specialized trauma treatment for both adults and children.
I believe in meeting you exactly where you are, drawing on a blend of:
Attachment-based therapy
